Generating special text symbols and fancy characters has never been easier. Several social networks, like Twitter, and a few others, use these characters to create a stylish account name. Making yourself stand out is important.

This works as follows: In the Unicode standard, there are over 120,000 symbols. You probably have a maximum of a hundred or so symbols on your keyboard, given that the normal alphabet is 26 characters, the numbers are 10, and punctuation is also included. Since there is a limited amount of space on the keyboard, it makes sense to include all of these symbols. In addition, there are over a hundred thousand others

There is a good deal of characters amongst those 100k characters that look like the usual alphanumeric characters you find on your keyboard. The truth of the matter is that some of these characters are simply bold, or italic, or cursive versions of the Latin alphabet, or other versions of the alphabet, and they are styled differently by certain means. The use of a lot of these special letters was introduced to make it easier for mathematicians to express the different abstract mathematical objects in their equations more clearly.

Cool Fonts Generator

This is how this special text stuff came about. Would it be possible to simply refer to these special characters as “special fonts”? It’s technically not possible. It is an item designed to change the visual appearance of a Unicode character. When you copy and paste characters, the font does not accompany them. A font file is unique to a single webpage, while characters/glyphs/symbols themselves can be copied and pasted between different sites.

Those fancy text symbols may not work properly on other websites, and that’s because the font used isn’t supported by all Unicode characters. In the case that the text symbols are not even working on this website, then that means that your browser does not yet support the Unicode ranges that are required in order to enable such functionality. If you change your browser to Firefox, all of the special text symbols should appear.
